Yeah… Let just say that I achieved my personal record that this song is the 30th one I translated. (The rest maybe I’ll upload soon). I have fun when I translate from Japanese to Vietnamese more than using English translation. But, using Eng translation can help me limit the meaning of the song. (but I like to translate from Jap to Viet more IF I HAVE TIME).

Thanks to Maiko’s translation, I have referenced the Eng translation for the short ver. I did the whole song… But I don’t know if it’s okay for you.

And also, I’m practicing to translate from Vietnamese to English (My English is not very good, but I want to do it anyway). So, if there’s any mistakes or grammar errors, please let me know and comment below. (I’m just an amateur translator _(:3TZ)_ ). Thank guys and love all~

TUI KHÔNG QUAN TÂM “MĨ TỪ” LÀ GÌ NỮA. “MĨ TỪ” LÀM NÃO TUI RỐI QUÁ RỒI. HOA MĨ CŨNG VỪA HOY HUHU ;つД`). Xin lỗi, tui bị kích động xíu

Tui cũng không muốn nói nhiều. Tại ở trên tui nói dài rồi (´・ω・). Nếu so bản dịch của tui so với bản của bạn Beta bên Kanjiru thì có thể không bằng đâu (´・ω・). Nhưng mà, mong mọi người ủng hộ và góp ý cho mình ha ( ;∀;). Đa tạ~

Ôi hạt mầm sinh mệnh, nay đã kết thúc
Ta và người, gặp nhau trong bóng đêm thơ thẩn này...

Oh seed of life, has come to an end
I meet you in the loitering darkness

手のひらでは抑えきれない涙
最愛でありゆういつの理解者
旅立ちます貴方の住む世界へ
勝手だと叱られるのは承知です

Bàn tay ta kiềm nén hai hàng lệ tuôn dài
Chốn nhân thế, chỉ có người ta yêu thương nhất hiểu được mình
Nhưng ta sẽ rời đi khỏi thế giới người trú ngụ
Vì ta không muốn bị khiển trách bởi sự ích kỉ của mình

My palms lay on the irrepressible tears
My most beloved one is the only one who knows me
But I will depart from the world you live
I don’t want to be reproved by your hands

開の麗華に見惚れて
この身静かに散らせましょう

mankai no reika ni mihorete
kono mi shizuka ni chirasemashou

Mải mê ngắm nhìn cây hoa nở rộ ấy
Ta xin âm thầm để thân xác của mình phân tán ra đi

Fascinated by the wonderful flowers in full bloom
I will let my body disperse peacefully

芽生え終えた生命よ
死に逝く意味見つけたか?
全ての理解は出来ぬから
黄泉の国で語りましょう

Ôi hạt mầm sinh mệnh, nay đã kết thúc
Người đã tìm được lí do để đối mặt với cái chết chưa?
Vì người chẳng thể lí giải được tất cả điều đó
Ở chốn Hoàng Tuyền, ta sẽ dạy lại nó cho người

Oh seed of life, has come to an end
Have you found your reasons to face the death?
Since you can’t understand it clearly
I shall teach it to you in the realm of the dead

Kí ức về tán cây bị nhuốm bẩn đã tan phai
Ta đã nghĩ đây là một điềm tốt, nhưng không phải vậy
Thay vì chờ đợi mùa hoa định mệnh sẽ chớm nở
Thì giờ đây, ta lại chọn cách hủy hoại nó

My memories of the ink-black tree has dispersed
I thought it was a good thing, but actually, it was not
Instead of waiting the destinated flowers bloom
But now, I choose to ruin it

過ちだと気づけずに
ここに来た意味忘れて
愚かな好奇心に揺られ
私は春を集める

ayamachida to kidzukazu ni
koko ni kita imi wasurete
orokana koukishin ni yurare
watashi wa haru wo atsumeru

Ta chẳng hề nhận ra đó là sai lầm
Nên ngay tại đây, ta muốn quên đi ý nghĩa của việc này
Run rẩy trước sự hiếu kì đầy ngớ ngẩn ấy
Ta xin góp lại những mảnh vỡ mùa xuân

I don’t realize that is a mistake
Right here, I will forget the meaning of my actions
Shivering at my foolish curiosity
I will collect the fragments of spring

桜に眠る「何者か」
私が知らぬセカイを

sakura ni nemuru 「nanimonoka」
watashi ga shiranu sekai wo

Hỡi 「kẻ nào đó」 đang ngủ say dưới gốc cây anh đào
Thế giới của người, ta không biết gì về nó cả

Oh 「the one」 sleeping deeply beneath the cherry blossom tree
Your world, I know nothing about it

知る手がかりにはならないか
彷徨いの冥で逢おう

shiru tegakari ni wa naranai ka
samayoi no mei de aou

Ta chẳng biết phải chạm vào nó như thế nào cả
Ta và người, sẽ gặp nhau trong bóng đêm thơ thẩn

I don’t know how to reach your world
But I will meet you in the loitering darkness

過ちだと気づけずに
ここに来た意味忘れて
愚かな好奇心に揺られ
私は春を集める

彷徨いの冥でいつか

samayoi no mei de itsuka

Một ngày nào đó, trong bóng đêm thơ thẩn này…

Someday, in this loitering darkness…

  1. Hello! 😀 As promised, I had a look through your translation – you conveyed the images behind the song well, which is a good thing. The second stanza is interesting, though, and I think it’s worthy of further analysis.

    手のひらでは抑えきれない涙
    最愛でありゆういつの理解者
    旅立ちます貴方の住む世界へ
    勝手だと叱られるのは承知です

You went with “My palms lay on the irrepressible tears” for the first line. Though you’ve got the main parts of the sentence right, it looks like the tears are lying on the palms rather than the other way ’round. The hint there is ‘では’ which can be literally translated as ‘on (what comes before) lies (what comes after)’.

The third line has another interesting thing in it: 貴方の住む世界へ. You’re right in saying it’s ‘the world you live in,’ but the へ at the end shows that, rather than leaving the place, you’re heading towards it (with the possibility of making a few stops along the way). If you unjumble the sentence, you get something like: 貴方の住む世界へ旅立ちます (I will set off towards the world you live in)

The last line also reveals the tendency of the Japanese language to work backwards. We start with ‘承知です’ which means ‘I know/am aware.’ So, the start of the sentence reveals what they’re aware of: ‘勝手だと叱られる’. 勝手 is a weird word, but generally it’s okay to translate it as ‘selfish,’ so the whole sentence would become something like ‘I’m aware that I’ll be scolded [by you?] and called selfish.’

I think I ended up writing too much, but I just thought that stanza was really interesting. There’s a few little grammatical errors here and there, too, but the easiest way to fix them is to just do lots of reading, and also go over what you’ve written a bunch of times. It even helps to use a different font when you proofread – you’d be amazed at what you pick up when you look at a translation with fresh eyes!

Anyway, let me know if you have any questions, or if you’d like me to explain anything in more detail 🙂 I’m always happy to help! Keep up the good work! 😀

    • Thank you so much for this, your support is really valuable to me
At first, I used Hakurei Maiko’s as a reference, he/she wrote some notes about this lyrics though. So I think you might want to compare mine and him/her.
Yeah, I’m not good at Japanese. I studied it only for 5 months in 2013. Now I mostly forget about its grammar, but I could say that I’m quite fine with the vocabulary. Can you give me the use of: へ、を、に、… and some other stuff? It slipped out my mind for too long D: (thanks for the advance 😀 )
And I’ll try to practice more English after my test in June. After that I may guarantee about my translation >ww<

      • You’re welcome! 😀 Now that I think about it, I’ve heard good things about a certain Japanese resource out there for grammar – Tae Kim’s guide to Japanese. http://www.guidetojapanese.org/learn/grammar
[not sure if you’ve used it before]

It looks very comprehensive, so I’d recommend giving that a go first! Let me know again if you have any more specific questions after looking through it, or if you just don’t think they do a good job of explaining things >_<

I noticed from the translation that your vocabulary is great 🙂 Hopefully the site helps you out with grammar.

      • Sorry for the late reply
I did take a look at the link you suggested me. I found it very useful and easy to comprehend. So, thanks a lot~
In the future, if I have any questions about Japanese grammar and vocabulary and stuff, do you mind to answer me? 🙂 I’d appreciate that 🙂

        Thank you ~
